Educator Network

Connect With Us!

The CSO wants to get to know you in order to support and provide opportunities for learning and collaboration. Our events and continuing education opportunities are intended to engage and inspire teachers with relevant topics, applicable learning and fun. Through our free workshops, events and network communication, we hope to build a long-lasting relationship with the educators in the region.

Our Educator Workshops are always free and eligible for CEUs. We design and schedule them to address topics of interest as indicated by educator feedback and suggestion. Additional Educator events are planned throughout the year to stay in touch with the CSO. If your district is interested in an on-site professional development session or workshop, let us know and we can arrange them on an individual basis.

Upcoming Educator Events

Learn the care and maintenance for your voice both in the classroom and in performance. Studies show, "20% of teachers report missing work due to voice concerns" (Roy, 2004). This workshop, led by Katie Davidson, will provide educators with evidence-based information on vocal wellness, as well as provide resources to preserve and effectively use your voice. This workshop is CEU-eligible and free. RSVP to bspiewak@cincinnatisymphony.org

Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 10:30am - 12pm, Taft Suite at Music Hall (1241 Elm St. Cincinnati)

Katie Davidson, M.A., CCC-SLP, is a Speech Language Pathologist working for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.  Her passion lies in the care and treatment of the voice.  She received her Master’s in Speech Pathology from the University of Cincinnati and her Bachelor’s in Voice Performance from Bowling Green State University.  Katie has presented at national and state conferences, as well as locally to educators, fitness instructors, and professional voice users.
